150 Years of Rural Medicine

Melbourne medical graduates have been working in rural settings since the 1860s, but ten years ago the Rural Clinical School was founded to create a specialist cohort of graduates with an education grounded in rural medicine.

A weekend of events took place in October 2012 celebrating the central role of doctors in rural communities, exploring some of the issues which confront rural practitioners in the 21st century.
